  • The SEC issued a summons to Tron founder Justin Sun, rapper Soulja Boy, and YouTuber Austin Mahone over unregistered securities offerings of tokens by Tron and BitTorrent.

  • House Republicans are seeking more information from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ahead of SEC Chair Gary Gensler's testimony next week, threatening a subpoena if they do not receive information on how the SEC came to charge Sam Bankman-Fried.

  • Crypto exchange Bitrue confirmed that it was exploited for roughly $24.4 million in tokens, which represents 5% of its overall funds, due to a hot wallet compromise.

  • Kraken initiated withdrawal requests of more than $1 billion worth of ETH stakes due to regulatory measures, following the Shapella upgrade that introduced Ethereum withdrawals.

  • An NFT whale known as @franklinisbored reportedly lost $4 million in a "rug pull" scam shortly after selling nearly $3 million worth of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs due to a real-life "issue."

  • Crypto influencer Ben "Bitboy" Armstrong will appear before a Miami court next week after allegations of harassment directed at a class action attorney and his law firm.

  • Mastercard is launching non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for Web3 musicians to access the Mastercard Artist Accelerator Program, which provides them with educational tools, resources, and access to advice from Web3 mentors.

  • The London Stock Exchange's French clearinghouse unit, LCH, signed a deal with UK-based GFO-X to clear bitcoin index futures and options through a new venture called LCH DigitalAssetClear, entirely separated from other trading operations, marking LSE's first step into crypto.
