The CFTC alleged that Binance has willfully evaded U.S. laws in a complaint with  documented internal text chains between company executives.

The law firm that sued the FDIC, OCC and Federal Reserve over the first Operation Choke Point believes that regulators are now targeting the crypto industry in a similar fashion.

The highly anticipated zkEVM solution has been launched on the mainnet with over 50 dApps, infrastructure providers and gaming projects integrating it on day one.

  • Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, experienced its lowest bitcoin trading volume since July 2022 on Sunday, as 66% of the exchange's trading volume was previously driven by zero-fee trading promotions, which have since been terminated.

  • European Union lawmakers are set to vote on anti-money laundering plans that would prohibit large crypto-asset transfers (> €1000) from anonymous self-hosted wallets, according to a report by CoinDesk.

  • MicroStrategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, paid off its $205 million loan from Silvergate Bank, ending its credit agreement with the bank and regaining the 34,619 BTC held as collateral against the loan. In addition, it spent $150 million to acquire 6,455 BTC between February and March 2023.

  • Decentralized derivatives exchange dYdX announced that it will be moving to the Cosmos platform by the end of September.

  • Ticketmaster introduced an Ethereum NFT token-gating feature for artists, enabling exclusive access to concert and event tickets for eligible NFT holders.

  • Fashion brand Gucci partnered with non-fungible token (NFT) issuer Yuga Labs, creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, to introduce luxury digital fashion in the metaverse.

  • DeFi derivatives protocol Cega raised $5 million in a seed extension round led by Dragonfly, with additional participation from Pantera Capital and Robot Ventures.
